Summers here!

Schools out, pools open, suns shining, our home is relisted for sale, our biggest kid is home for a visit, and the next two weekends are booked for road trips.... helloooo summer!! Our RV park has a big community day/bbq on holiday weekends, it was a great chance to meet a few neighbors!

Now that we're 100% moved from our home, we have realized that we need to go through our storage again and minimize one more time. We need to be able to actually locate important stored items and that's difficult when the storage is nearly full lol! I have found that the transition from living big to living small takes a little time. As we adjust, we realize that we need less and less and so more and more is able to be sold, donated, or trashed. At the same time, I dont feel like any of us are doing without anything that we need or want. I feel like our needs and wants have adjusted too, to match our new lifestyle.

I still feel like I'm living on vacation. It's funny because while we intend to travel as often as possible, our primary location isnt very far from the home we owned...... but it's on the water, in a different kind of environment with some travelers and some lifers, and it's just far enough away that it feels like a big move. When you combine that with weekend roadtrips and summer travel... I feel like I'm a world away from my old life, and it's amazing!

About Me

Hi guys! I'm Jenn, welcome to my page and my adventures! I have spent the majority of my adult life chasing the American dream, and I'm over it. I'm trading my comfortable suburban life and 2200 sq ft home, for a 400 sq ft RV and a life full of adventure. My family and I have decided to choose experiences over things. We are ridding our lives of excess, learning to live small, travel, and make the most of every single day. This has always been our dream, but we kept waiting. We were waiting for the kids to grow up, for our mortgage to be paid off, for early retirement..... we have been waiting rather than living. My husband is now dealing with unexpected and seemingly unmanageable health issues. We have realized that time and health are both very precious. We don't want to waste any of the time or good health that we have right now just waiting. I plan to share my journey with all of you, in hopes of encouraging and inspiring you to chase your dreams too!
