Standing Still

My early morning view in late October is stunning. We have officially been in our RV for 6 months now, the time passed so quickly. We remain stationary for most of the school year.... we travel during summers, holidays, and some school breaks.

I would recommend living in your RV for a while before hitting the road as full time travelers. Simply living in an RV is an adventure and a learning experience all on its own! I joke sometimes that I don't know how to RV! I really don't though. Before buying this RV I had almost no experience whatsoever. I'm still learning as I go.

People ask me everyday where I'm going next, and I have a list a mile long. However, we still have real lives going on..... school, work, appointments, we had surgeries, and we have family all over the country to visit during the holidays. Not to mention, there are 2 kids and 3 extremely busy adults here. If you think coordinating schedules with your spouse is difficult.... try two of them! Hahaha!

I plan to start writing more often about our day to day life.... the struggles and the adventures within unconventional life with a non traditional family. I think I keep postponing writing more often because I wait to write about the trips we take. I have received quite a bit of feedback from our followers who simply want to hear more about our lives while we're standing still. I would love to hear from you.... what are you most interested in about our journey? Message us here through our site or jennyjypsys fb page and let me know.

About Me

Hi guys! I'm Jenn, welcome to my page and my adventures! I have spent the majority of my adult life chasing the American dream, and I'm over it. I'm trading my comfortable suburban life and 2200 sq ft home, for a 400 sq ft RV and a life full of adventure. My family and I have decided to choose experiences over things. We are ridding our lives of excess, learning to live small, travel, and make the most of every single day. This has always been our dream, but we kept waiting. We were waiting for the kids to grow up, for our mortgage to be paid off, for early retirement..... we have been waiting rather than living. My husband is now dealing with unexpected and seemingly unmanageable health issues. We have realized that time and health are both very precious. We don't want to waste any of the time or good health that we have right now just waiting. I plan to share my journey with all of you, in hopes of encouraging and inspiring you to chase your dreams too!
