A Jypsy Christmas

Our very first Christmas in the RV was as magical as I hoped it would be! We cooked an entire spiral ham in our little RV oven, we had a campfire, baked cookies, opened gifts, we stayed in our pjs almost all day..... it really was so cozy.

We traveled the week before so that we could celebrate Christmas with our biggest boy too. Did you know that the St. Louis zoo offers free admission all year long!! The only thing you'll have to pay for is parking, it was 10 bucks. That's not bad for a family of 6 to spend the whole day at the zoo!

We travel often, and we have so many cool experiences and visit so many unique places. Most of the things we do on our trips are either free or low cost! It is possible for a family to have amazing weekend getaways or even vacations without breaking the bank.... you just need to do a little planning first.

We have been fulltime RVers now since late April. This life experience has definitely been the coolest and most unusual thing that we have ever done! There are days when I love it, and days when I'm frustrated with it. 2018 has been a big year for us. We have taken so many risks.... we won some, and we lost some. One thing is for sure, this year is unforgettable! I hope to have so many more unforgettable years in the future.

About Me

Hi guys! I'm Jenn, welcome to my page and my adventures! I have spent the majority of my adult life chasing the American dream, and I'm over it. I'm trading my comfortable suburban life and 2200 sq ft home, for a 400 sq ft RV and a life full of adventure. My family and I have decided to choose experiences over things. We are ridding our lives of excess, learning to live small, travel, and make the most of every single day. This has always been our dream, but we kept waiting. We were waiting for the kids to grow up, for our mortgage to be paid off, for early retirement..... we have been waiting rather than living. My husband is now dealing with unexpected and seemingly unmanageable health issues. We have realized that time and health are both very precious. We don't want to waste any of the time or good health that we have right now just waiting. I plan to share my journey with all of you, in hopes of encouraging and inspiring you to chase your dreams too!
