Climb that Mountain!

Two years ago I never imagined that I would be hiking mountains, I could barely walk a half mile with my boys without losing my breath. One of the first things I did after losing 60 pounds was go hiking with my family in the mountains. I have loved it ever since. This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit friends in GA and hike Sawnee Mountain. My friend and her 4 year old daughter came along for the 4 mile hike. At one point my friend and I were taking turns carrying her daughter up the mountain as we hiked. That is a really big deal for me considering how far I've come. Getting healthy and losing weight changed my whole life. I am strong and fit and so confident in my ability to take on new tasks, and to do hard things that once seemed impossible for me. Every single day I'm working hard to help other people, especially other women, get healthy and change their lives. I always say that my only regret is not starting sooner and hiking more mountains with my oldest son before he grew up. Don't wait.
