Hi guys! I'm Jenn, welcome to my page and my adventures! I have spent the majority of my adult life chasing the American dream, and I'm over it. I'm trading my comfortable suburban life and 2200 sq ft home, for a 400 sq ft RV and a life full of adventure. My family and I have decided to choose experiences over things. We are ridding our lives of excess, learning to live small, travel, and make the most of every single day. This has always been our dream, but we kept waiting. We were waiting for the kids to grow up, for our mortgage to be paid off, for early retirement..... we have been waiting rather than living. My husband is now dealing with unexpected and seemingly unmanageable health issues. We have realized that time and health are both very precious. We don't want to waste any of the time or good health that we have right now just waiting. I plan to share my journey with all of you, in hopes of encouraging and inspiring you to chase your dreams too!

Bump in the Road

August 22, 2018

What a year! Our rollercoaster life is exciting, but just as we started to celebrate the upcoming closing on our house and our travel plans, we have run into some unexpected health issues.

In mid September I'm having a minor surgery and in late September Justin is having a major surgery. Both of our surgeries are really personal in nature, but I'm open about almost everything. I think that when we get real about our struggles and we share them, we have power over them. We also use our lives and our struggles to encourage and inspire other people.

My doctor recently found cancer cells at my annual checkup. I need to have an endometrial biopsy and a DNC to remove scar tissue. I'm sure I'm fine! It's just a little unnerving. Justin recently discovered a mass under his breast tissue and he will be having a double mastectomy. Yes, this happens to men too. This is all a little scary and overwhelming, especially since we just started this amazing new RV life adventure this year. I think it's another reminder that life is short and no one's making it out alive. Chase your dreams people!

Keep us all in your thoughts, prayers, and wishes over the next month or so. In the meantime, we booked our very first flight lesson and we close on the house next week! That's bad ass and I'm excited. Silver linings are everywhere!
