Hi guys! I'm Jenn, welcome to my page and my adventures! I have spent the majority of my adult life chasing the American dream, and I'm over it. I'm trading my comfortable suburban life and 2200 sq ft home, for a 400 sq ft RV and a life full of adventure. My family and I have decided to choose experiences over things. We are ridding our lives of excess, learning to live small, travel, and make the most of every single day. This has always been our dream, but we kept waiting. We were waiting for the kids to grow up, for our mortgage to be paid off, for early retirement..... we have been waiting rather than living. My husband is now dealing with unexpected and seemingly unmanageable health issues. We have realized that time and health are both very precious. We don't want to waste any of the time or good health that we have right now just waiting. I plan to share my journey with all of you, in hopes of encouraging and inspiring you to chase your dreams too!

Stanburn Winery

Over the summer, we had the opportunity to tour Stanburn Winery in Patrick County Virginia. The winery is in a scenic location in the city of Stuart, near my grandmother!

This is a family owned and operated winery that has been part of the Patrick County community for 20 years! We actually toured the winery, and sampled the wine with members of their family. It was such a great experience.

The day we arrived, they were preparing for one of their monthly wine festivals. They hold a festival every month from May to August each year. They invite the entire community to take part in these festivals. They're family friendly and, something that is so important to me and my family.... they're LBGTQ+ friendly.

We sampled all of their wine and bought several bottles. Our favorite was Poorhouse! We sampled that one with chocolate. This wine was named after Poorhouse Creek that runs through the county. I wish we had brought home several more bottles of that one!

Overall, our experience was incredibly positive. The location is beautiful, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I can't wait to visit again!
